Andy designed the Esquire because he was inspired by the Bob Loveless New York Special. They are similar sizes, that is easy to see. But what really drew Andy to the design was the subtle ways the design makes the knife difficult to make. "I'm no different from any other custom maker in these times, and Bob Loveless was a major influence on me," Andy says. "In fact he influenced the whole industry of makers, enthusiasts and user/buyers, and may have very seriously created this community."
