The Fiddleback Forge Woodsman is based on old historical French Trade Knives. It is similar to the Duke in size, just with a little less belly and guard on the blade and a slightly larger handle. Its 5.25-inch blade and handle ergonomics make it capable of chopping tasks while still performing well at detailed work. It is one of Andy's earliest designs, and still one of his favorite to make. The Woodsman is 10.5-inches in overall length, but its handle shape allows it to perform like a larger knife, while being well-balanced and nimble.
